Summer training is endurance-based, with a focus on Nordic skiing. This means that any endurance athlete will find benefit from our programs: runners, cyclists, skiers, and swimmers alike. Our philosophy is geared towards long-term athlete development by building a base of endurance training, while learning and developing a wide-range of athletic skills.
We hire fantastic coaches that have many years of experience as endurance athletes and coaches. Furthermore, we regularly invite celebrity guest coaches to build the motivation and excitement. In the past, our guest coaches have included: Skyler Davis (Jericho, VT / US Ski Team), Ida Sargeant (Craftsbury, VT / Craftsbury Green Racing Project), Jennie Bender (CXC Elite Team), Collegiate All-Americans, and other athletes from around the region.
For Summer 2012, we will offer 3-5 training sessions per week. This increase is a reflection of increased commitment and demand from the athletes. Cross-country skiing is definitely a year-round sport!
