2011-2012:

The 2011-2012 Season marks the beginning of our year-round training programs for junior skiers. Continuing on the success of the Summer Training, athletes that would like to compete at a high level can participate in weekly training sessions with MNC Coaches. Our programs accommodate skiers with various backgrounds, time-commitments, and goals.

Elite Team: This team meets 3x /wk, all through the Fall and Winter. Elite Team also includes full support at Eastern Cup Races.

Competitive Team: The Comp Team meets 2-3x/wk, through the Fall and Winter. This is for the athlete that would like to maintain focus on the High School race schedule. This group will have increased exposure to proper technique, individualized workouts, training theory, and of course lots of exercise within a positive team environment.

Development Team: For the athletes that are new to structured ski training, or athletes that are very busy, this group meets 1x/wk. The Devo Team typically meets on Sundays, and will have exposure to all the athletes on the Comp and Elite Teams. This group will focus on improving cardiovascular endurance and gaining ski-specific skills and technique. This is a great first-step towards a lifetime of enjoyment in the sport of cross-country skiing.
